Do you often struggle to fall alseep or constantly wake up at night? There are many simple ways to make bad sleeping habits disappear. By improving simple lifestyle behaviors, you can get rid of your nighttime restlessness.

By maintaining good habits during the day, your chances of better sleep will increase. A major bad habit to have is taking naps during the daytime. Naps throw off the regular sleep cycle that your body has. If a nap is necessary, be sure to limit it to about a half hour.

Limit your intake of substances that will stimulate you. This includes but is not limited to caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and many over-the-counter prescription drugs. While alcohol is something that can make you fall alseep earlier, it actually disrupts your sleep and causes for an interruption in normal sleeping patterns.

If you excercise, it is best to do this durning the morning or afternoon. Exercising will help your body sleep, but if you excercise too late at night it may make it harder to fall asleep.

Now that you know what to do during the day to better your sleeping ability, there’s many things to take a look at in your sleeping environment. It kind of goes without saying but it is very important that your bedroom/sleeping area is very comfortable. Find the type of mattress that feels most comfortable to you. Keep your clock hidden from sight while laying in bed. Knowing the exact time can make you restless especially if you have a lot on your mind.

Keep on a regular schedule, relax before going to bed, and make sure you go to bed if you are feeling sleepy. All of these tips will help increase the production of your body’s sleeping pattern. Good Night!
